Lunch at Intersections in Northfield Neighborhood of Stapleton

Field trip time again!

The occasion? Getting to know our new intern better, Kelsey George, and try out a new restaurant in the Northfield Neighborhood of Stapleton.

INTERSECTIONS – WHERE CUPS MEET CONVERSATION

Tucked between Torchy’s, Cuba Cuba and Five Guys, this compact restaurant has a quiet, modern vibe. On trend finishes provide a neutral back ground for punches of interesting artwork. Mostly framed Dr. Seuss characters and scenes with some funny, animated ladies on the walls.

We sat down to review the menu. How welcoming to have a breakfast option in Northfield Stapleton! We were there for lunch but the breakfast menu is served all day. What was most interesting as we discussed our mood and whether we wanted breakfast or lunch, is the lack of warm drinks in cups which is on the logo? Only plain coffee and tea. Wouldn’t coffee, tea and chai lattes make sense to have with your conversation. Or are we trained to want the fancy when really just a cup-of-joe is just great?

Kelsey is a welcome addition in our office. Fresh out of college and new to Denver she brings a fresh take on Real Estate, our fair city and Social Media! We all enjoy her enthusiasm in learning the ins and outs of our field.

As for our meal – it was delicious. Kelsey enjoyed the Scampi Style eggs. We discussed that shrimp and eggs is not a typical breakfast dish but hey, its a good combination.  Megan was excited to try the Power Salad because it featured kohlrabi. Kelsey and I learned that kohlrabi is a vegetable and is a fusion of a cabbage and a radish. It was very tasty in the salad along with Brussel sprouts, broccoli, kale, brown rice and more with an Asian vinaigrette. I had the Gumbo that was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of heat and not skimpy with the shrimp.

The service was attentive – low key, quick and efficient. All in all, we had a very good experience even though it felt a little too quiet at lunch. Next time, I’ll go back for breakfast to sample more of the menu and perhaps see a more bustling ambiance.
